In 2018 I had the pleasure of being tasked by the Disneyland Resort® to design a free sticker for distribution to theme park guests at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California. I was asked to create a design that would echo the look of name tags worn by Disney park employees (“Cast Members”), while being visually distinct enough to not be confused for real name tags. Guests are encouraged to write their own names on the sticker with a marker.
To date over 10,000 have been handed out to the public.
In the first weeks of Quarantine Shutdown for the Coronavirus Pandemic I felt duty-bound to encourage people to stay home and limit potentially spreading the virus. Done in a 1930s style, this poster anthropomorphizes COVID-19 as a sinister “Invisible Hitchhiker” that you could unknowingly pick up as you travel. It was then widely shared across social media platforms.
